Data Proposal: Voter Turnout By Age In The 2016 And 2018 Midterm Election

My generation is extremely vocal about what they think is right and what they think is wrong. They do this by sharing thoughts online and participating in demonstrations. However, when it comes down to making change happen, young people aren't going out to vote in elections. It's great for young people to have such strong opinions, but there's no point if they won't show up and vote. For this project I plan on gathering data from the government census database on voter turnout base on age in the 2016 and 2018 midterm election. I want to do this because with an election around the corner, I feel like it may motivate young people to vote if they see how low their voter turnout currently is.
